SunTex Solar Screens
Screen Builders offers a wide range of sun protection screens.
From our standard pool enclosure screens that offer a 20-30% screen
blockage to our new SunTex Solar Screen that can block 80-90%
of the sun's hot rays before they enter your home or patio.
SunTex is ideal for use as a shading fabric on windows, doors,
patios, balconies and porches and offers great ventilation. This
heavy-duty screen is made of strong vinyl-coated polyester originally
developed for use in outdoor furniture. Therefore, SunTex is mildew
and fade resistant and needs only an occasional cleaning with mild
soap and water. Its durability makes it resistant to insects, pest
and pet damage.
Solar screening is available in a wider range of colors to best
suit your home.
While UV blockage is 65% to 90%, actual visibility is diminished
by only 15% to 40% depending on the screening fabric selected. Light
through the Solar Screen is not tinted, but it is reduced in volume,
allowing good light with reduced glare.
